Focus
The story of Joseph in the book of Genesis shows that God usally works behind the scenes. Raised in a dysfunctional family, sold into slavery by his brothers, and wrongly accused of crimes, Joseph surely must have wondered if God abandoned him. But God was at work behind the scenes, orchestrating the salvation of Joseph’s family and, indeed, all the world.
You are not alone in shouting at Heaven and asking God “why?” Jesus cried out those same words on the cross. He voluntarily entered that experience to work out your salvation. You have not been abandoned.
