Focus

Anxiety is rooted in perfectionism. We falsely believe we know exactly how life should unfold and when it doesn’t our anxieties relentlessly tell us we could have, should have, done things differently. And perfectionism is a trap, for once a perfectionist realizes the perfectionism is a problem she sets about trying to fix it the only way she knows how—perfectly.

You cannot save yourself from perfectionism and anxiety. Rescue comes from stopping, breathing, resting and believing that “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” —John 16:33

Perfectionism is impossible for you, but a perfect world is coming. It’s a promise! Wait for it.
