Calming Anxiety

Anxiety is a preoccupation with thoughts. And usually those thougts focus on the past or the future. Rarely is our anxiety justified in the present moment. Jesus calls us to live with what “is” not what was or what could be.

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” —Matthew 6:34

Be present with your life. Today holds gifts, delights and moments that you will never have again. We can learn to harness our attention through commitment and practice. Call yourself back to now! You may find more than you had imagined.
