Focus

We try to make life black and white. Predictable. Safe. And yet, life is fully grey. Complicated.

The complicated gray is the permission to feel it all, all at the same time, because when we do, we awaken to life in color. We can be longing and sad AND also grateful. We don’t need to always like the story He has written for us AND we can learn to exercise a fragile trust of Him while we are in it.

He knows this because He himself walked it first. Jesus longed and loved. He angered and loved. He grieved and loved. He struggled and He trusted His Father, …not my will, but yours be done. —Luke 22:42
